Two free games on XBLA!

10 December 2010

Microsoft and Doritos have made some sort of infernal corporate marketing pact, resulting – inconceivably enough – in two free indie-developed games on XBLA, Crash Course and Harm’s Way. If you can get past all the repulsive Doritos branding, that’s 400 free Gamerscore up for grabs.

Both games are part of a sort of semi-annual promotion that invites people to submit ideas, with the winning concepts then developed into games. Previously, the Doritos Dash of Destruction featured a dinosaur destroying stuff, and was somewhat reputed as the easiest XBLA title to complete all in-game Achievements. Which was, of course, awesome on both counts.

Crash Course is a Trials HD-style obstacle course game, with support for up to four players locally and online. Harm’s Way is a kind of multiplayer action-driving game, “where both drivers and snipers need to team up to win the race”.
