A major development studio is working on a virtual reality game for the Xbox One, Ars Technica reports.
The VR title will most likely follow the release of the upcoming improved version of the Xbox One, code-named Scorpio.
A PR representative from the “well-known European studio” has confirmed that the game will be set in the universe of an “established, long-running franchise”.
The game will not be exclusive to the Xbox One however, as it will also release for PC and PlayStation 4.
Although Microsoft has not officially mentioned any plans for virtual reality gaming on its platform, the reports of a more powerful console arriving next year imply that the device will be aimed at VR gaming, as the performance of the current console would struggle to run high-end VR titles.
This information follows reports that Sony will announce its improved PlayStation Neo at E3 2016.
