Halo: Reach “Defiant Map Pack” unofficially official

10 February 2011

French Halo fansite Halo Destiny recently posted a heap of info about a so-called, alleged, 100% unconfirmed Halo: Reach DLC add-on that may or may not actually exist, called the Defiant Map Pack.

According to the posting, the incoming pack includes three new maps – the UNSC frigate-based Condemned, the outdoorsy Highlands, and a brand new Firefight playground, Unearthed.

A bunch of blurry images leaked from some dark corner of the internet are posted on Halo Destiny’s Flickr account, where, for some esoteric reason, the Highlands map is labelled “Training Preserve.”

Perhaps most significantly, the site is currently offline, with a message claiming that Microsoft and Bungie had requested the owners remove all the info they’d posted about the DLC. Which is pretty much exactly the same as saying, “Don’t steal our thunder, frogs.” Now that everybody on the planet already knows, we can probably expect official confirmation any moment now.

Ed (James): If (like me) you aren’t a die-hard Bungie Community regular (like Tarryn) you can brush up on your ‘blame Stosh’ meme at the Bungiepedia.
