Thread Killer MKII

So with the game officially launching on the 4th of November I thought it would be a good idea to get this thread going.

I had my doubts about the game, especially after Ghosts but it seems like sledgehammer did a damn good job. Hopefully the game launches with the FOV slider enabled lol

Please post any questions, info, awesome screen shots, game play vids, issues here.

Please post what platform you'll be playing on.

PC for me ;)

I'll be rocking the PC version. I'm so amped. Still can't believe I'm saying that about Call of Duty.

If anyone still doubts the tenacity of the Sledgehammer team, check this great cover story on the Studio and the people behind it.

Provided I still have a job by next Jan, I'll buy it then - if I can afford it.

I really want this title.

PS4 for me, because my Pc won't be able to run it on nice detailed textures.

Will be more active in this thread from Monday/Tuesday evening ;)

While I initially couldn't stand FPS's, playing through Far Cry 3 earlier this year definitely changed my opinion somewhat so I might check it out on PS4 if the campaign turns out to be somewhat lengthy (not too into multiplayer). Not next week though. October/November releases have put quite a dent in my wallet already.

Ah its call of duty time cant wait to hear the bitching and moaning about camping and all the raging love it.Ps4 version for me I hope the parity clause is not evoked lol.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Dev on Leak -- "That Sucks"

THIS POST CONTAINS POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR CALL OF DUTY: ADVANCED WARFARE.

With just one week to go before Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's release on November 3 (through the Day Zero Edition), footage of Sledgehammer Games' shooter has emerged online. Leaks are nothing new for video games, of course, but footage that appeared on Twitch this weekend was from a "stolen" version of the game, according to co-founder Glen Schofield.

Schofield addressed the leak on Twitter.

One of Schofield's fans replied by saying that Sledgehammer is responsible for the mass levels of hype around Advanced Warfare, and that the leak actually helps players get information about the game. Schofield replied: "I realize that but stealing and releasing is not the answer."

The leak is particularly problematic, Schofield added, because "discovery while playing is part of the fun." Though he seemed upset over the leak, he's also taking everything in stride. After all, this isn't his first rodeo. "It will all be good, just saying," Schofield concluded.

Yesterday, Twitch user Anfuny29 (as reported by MP1st) broadcasted Advanced Warfare from an early copy of the upcoming shooter. The stream (and the channel, too) were swiftly shut down, but not before new gameplay features such as a 30-kill "DNA Bomb" scorestreak were revealed. If you manage to rack up 30 kills in one life, you'll activate the bomb that will leave behind a "green mist" that spreads throughout the entire map before dissipating. Effects of the mist are unknown, but presumably it will have a damaging effect on your enemies.

It is unclear how the Twitch user was able to get a copy of the game ahead of its release or if Advanced Warfare publisher Activision plans to pursue any legal action against the streamer.

Advanced Warfare officially launches on November 4, but if you preorder the game, you'll be able to play a day earlier. For more on Advanced Warfare, which is coming to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.

I saw some of the leaked stuff, and the thing that has me most excited is the paintball marker mode. Guns still do dmg like they normally would but when they hit the enemy it explodes like a painball would and covers the area in yellow paint. Not quite sure why they added this but I think that's pretty epic.

It's already been stated that the campaign is 5 hours or so, I may get it on PS4 but not right away.
