I'm an not sure of my family. I think only my father knows I'm not religious (I think).

I am not trying to hate on him or anything. I am christian, though I don't wear a cross. I am not questioning what he belives or doesn't. I don't judge him for it. Hell, I used to be atheist. All I'm trying to say is, go with what feels good to you. I'm not one of those preacher type people, and I'm not trying to force my belief on you.

The "chain" (more like pendant attached to black rope) does look awesome, which is why I bought it. Will maybe upload a pic of it later.

I can imagine. I grew up in a heavily religious environment where batshittery was the norm. If you "fit in" then life tends to find a way to take care of you and pat you on the back at every opportunity. If you don't then congratulations, you're a pariah and everything that goes wrong is always your fault :)

I don't care much for debating religion because I don't see a point to it until it starts stepping on my toes (my right to exist, love my husband, have my rights recognised, etc), then I get angry.

However, truth be told... these days when I discover someone is religious I tend to switch off and lose interest in furthering a conversation or a relationship with them completely. I have very little desire to be associated with anyone who even on the most remote level believes that I (me/my life/my relationship/whatever) equates to their batshit concept of "sin."

Dude. For a long time I used to be a non-believer. Neither in the The Lord nor in The Devil. Yet it took a strange turn of events, and it was only upon my step-mothers death that I actually spoke to God (strangely enough).

I'm the same lately. After I came out to my parents and community last year I cut ties with a lot of religious friends because of it. Some of them wanted me to go to churches with them or told me they would pray for me, etc. Blegh. I know they think they have good intentions, but I don't want to deal with that.

Even with the religious LGBT people I met earlier this year I didn't want to get too involved with them. They're welcome to their beliefs, but at some point we're going to clash and I'd rather just avoid that altogether.

HRM.. Human Resource Management? I have a feeling that was one of my classes in uni, can't quite remember, might be one of the ones I never went to, or drank before going to....

Im doing Human Resource Management for Line management. Its not bad, I find it interesting, but the law aspects of it does bore me a fair amount
 
well im writing african customary law on wednesday....its very confusing to have to learn something that gets overidden by the Bill of rights in our constitution. have to learn all these concepts which are old and in contrast with our constitution, yet i can also see the relevance of it (wish i didnt have to learn it cause its just a total brain overload at the moment)
