Dragon Age Inquisition

I know drm is shit on all counts but what makes denuvo so bad? is it starforce bad or just plain securom bad?

It apparently hinders performance.

Judging so far with the way DAI is struggling on my system sadly my have to agree. Game is great but engine is really making my system struggle. For reference this is an i5 4670k,16 gig and r9-290 system. Had to put settings mostly on medium as system wasn't reaching 30 fps on high.

O.O

Damn, that does not bode well. Luckily I did not pre-order this. Will see how things pan out first regarding this whole DRM issue

That settles it then, been reading a lot similar comments about both DA and Lords of the Fallen performance issues. Will either get Far Cry 4 tomorrow or trade in a few extra games and get AC Unity on PS4. I will then get Dragon Age on either PC (if they patch out Denuvo) or PS4 at a later stage.

well based on my experience in battlefield 4 (da:I uses the same version of frostbite) the engine was prone to crap and it does not have the drm. and it runs shit everywhere.

Wait for the AMD game ready driver and it'll sort it out.

Updating the drivers did the trick. Now running ultra at 60 fps.

There is actually another driver that came out sometime this morning that brings more performance to DAI bud.

I might actually get this today afterall. I finished AC Rogue last night (I rushed through the story after getting Unity) and I am considering trading it in to get Dragon Age.

And lo and behold, Kalahari screws up again, delivering only tomorrow (haha, I'll believe it when I see it...)

I really really hope this doesn't carry over once they merge with Takealot.

Same here... but I guess that's a good thing. Don't have the time commitment available now to play it uninterrupted.
I'll rather start with Dreamfall Chapters or finish AC4 and start this one next year.

It is the principal more than anything - their support guys confirmed with the supplier, they might only deliver on Monday even.

This is pathetic service. I sincerely wish Takealot are not merging with these incompetents!

And that is one of the major reasons why I have switched to digital. Had too many times of SA stores/suppliers failing to deliver by launch day.

Anyone else here get the gender bug? I created a male Qunari and played for about 2 hours before I realised everybody in the game was referring to me as "she" or "her". Apparently restarting the game fixes the bug. I'm about to restart to see if that sorts it out, luckily I haven't played far yet. I've read that switching back and forth between the gender cards at character creation also fixes the problem and if you have the wrong equipment (for your class) at the start of the game you know you have the bug.

Found a guide to make my character look a lot like Daenerys Targaryen so I restarted and am now playing with her:
