Eve Online

I still putter around a bit. Working of Ministry of War Faction. What I like about it, is that I can log in now and then, run a bunch of missions, do some pvp and then log off for a month or two and my character still continues training and gaining SP.

Is there anyone that can help me out with the full client for Eve? I tried using their torrent-thingymajig ... but for some reason, even when I pause it I don't get my speed back - I have to physically cancel the thing ... which means I'm getting nowhere.

I signed up for a 14-day trial ... just felt like taking a look :D

Well I have been back in EVE for a week now since I have more time on hands. My daughter now goes to bed quite early and sleeps through so Daddy is back in his Megathron ;)

Rejoined the corps "Crowded Igloo" in 0.0 is the Pure Blind region and having a blast. Literally :P

If anyone is interested in joining us, drop me a msg in game (char name is Triv O'Dean) or apply to corporation and say that you know me from the mygaming.co.za forums. The Corps ticker is "CUBES".

I started playing on the 4th, been learning like mad but having fun. My character is Rathlan Corvale. I'm not sure if I want to do missions, mining, or something more industrial. Its such a huge game with so many options it's a little daunting, fortunately EveMon and EFT make it a lot simpler though.

Looking forward to seeing some of you online :)

Epic necropost, but I didn't want to start a new thread just for this and this was the closest to an Official Eve thread I can get.

So after getting pissed at WoW's monotony Thursday night, I decided to resub to Eve. Best choice I've made this year, considering the amount of fun I've already got from Thursday by far surpasses anything else I've played this year.

Strangely, the game doesn't feel like it's changed much yet. The warp changes are a nice touch, but I miss warping straight through planets, even though it made no sense.

Definitely like the new WiS, but it's really pointless considering there's no social aspect tied to it yet. I've decided to go the mining route for now. Just waiting to train cruisers, seeing as the Gallante industrial ships have no space for drones, and only one slot for mining lasers, so it takes absolutely forever to mine. The faithful Navitas frigate can mine rather nicely, but lacks cargo space. Badly. I spend more time hauling ore around than mining it.

I've also decided to start my own Corp. Don't really care if it never takes off, as I'm just running it to avoid taxation for now. I do take applications, but it really is nothing more than a casual corp, so any applicants shouldn't expect big things from it.

I also redid my character a bit, as any new start requires a new look (and my character's portrait was fugly), so here's Jake Katarne, CEO of Zewp Industries;

Feel free to hit me up online.

Does anyone here live in the George Area - I recently moved here and was without Internet for a few months. I've got 3G now but I need to find someone with a fully updated client ?

lol I just came here to post that vid!!

I subbed again 2 weeks ago and really enjoying the changes. So much has changed in the last 4 years since I played.

But holy crap that is probably the best gaming vid iv ever seen. Nothing beats showing actual ingame experiences!

I just joined the space monkey alliance, never thought id see myself fighting along side Goonswarm.

When u think about it, EvE online is 1 of the longest standing MMOs.

Eve is boring don't get me wrong... the joys of any sandbox is often times its boring with splashes of excitement. They don't give you a linear experience which provides direction, so its a double edged sword.

My account is 7 years old and I love that at any point in those 7 years I was able to pick up where I left off. I didn't have to worry about buying 7 new expansions or have to grind to new level caps. I logged on got chatting with some old mates and joined a new corp and today ill make my way to nullsec again. Fok I cant wait!

I'm looking at joining Brave Newbies. I still have so much to learn and they seem like the best option for me.

Your best bet is to join Eve Uni. They run practical classes for everything. I started with them way back and it was amazing! You need someone to help you climb that info cliff.

When I say practical classes I mean, join them on voice comms, fly your little ship out to a spot they give you and there they train you in the many aspects of Eve. It is a great institution.

Been playing again for 3 months now, loving it again.

Where the ships hit that yellow explosion? and the exitement in their voices was moving.
