Eve Online

Waiting for the client to download, my PVP finger is itching which is very suprising because well, my character was a miner, I was just about to get a nice Hulk and then decided screw this, it's not really that fun. So I tried mission running, it was a bit better and the ISK was WAY better, got up to lvl 4 before I took a little break, I have the skills to do lvl 5, just need a ship.

But I really want to do some PVP, was in a orginization that was constantly wardecced, but never exactly blew someone up. Got blown up though, piece of advice, never, ever, ever target and fire upon a Command ship unless you have friends (I do mean LOADS of em) with u or you are in a Command ship youself, even if the pilot of the Command is a known pirate with quite a large bounty on his head. Lets just say he popped my lovely Drake in a few seconds.

This time I will join red vs blue for some casual PVP.
 
looool, yeh its a very bad idea to attack a command ship. they pretty much one of the hardest tanks in the game :P
 
Our alliance got war decc'd by a corp a few nights back. I a show of "force" we did a 20 ship congo line outside their station in Irjunin last night. was all fun and games untill someone accidently launched a missile and someone and someone else was repping him and suddenly CONCORD showed up and blast 3 guys.

CONCORD don't like congo lines obviously :P
 
he meant to click on a repper and clicked on the missile instead ;)


Decided to join the dark side of EVE, got an invite to fly with Immortalis INC. of the Shadow Cartel alliance so I have become a pirate :P
 
I love Eve Online , if youve played for a while and you joined a corporation people can help you progress in the game.

If you like space and mining / building ships / making war , play it :)
Brace yourself for a monthly subscription though.
 
Are there any South African Corporations? I played for a month or so, but stopped from a lack of friends playing.

There is a SA chat channel, which I believe Lydon supplied above - you should be able to pick up easily from there. In this very thread there are quite a few players that can help you out even, I reckon.

As for the subs, PLEX's costs - $34.99 for 2x 30days, 4x 30days for $69.98 and 6x 30days for $104.97.
$14.95 for every 30day time card.

Cool, might try it again, when I get some monies. Where's the best place to buy, if you don't have a CC? Do BTgames stock gamecards?
 
Looking to load this up again after a friend begged me to give it a try again (well also now that I FINALLY have an internet connection again - a steady HSDPA connection).

Maybe by end of next week I will be back in EVE giving it another whorl :P
 
Yeah will go next weekend to a buddy to copy his fully updated client and then head back in.

Looks like I will be hitting PvP hard with him and some of his buds.
 
There are definitely more people online since they introduced these big faction battles with Dominion, so it is going well methinks.
Several nights in the week I see # of pilots online at 55K
 
Hey guys, I've also been playing Eve Online for the last month or so and was wondering if there is a nice South African Corp that is taking new members(I haven't read the whole thread because there is quite a lot to read so hopefully I can just jump in here :P )
