You do know that there is another reset on the way right? I'll add you when I eventually get access to the game.

Given that the online thing doesn't bother me... is the game worth R3000? I can get a really nice Rhino X-55 HOTAS + game for that much. Prolly gonna do something stupid in the next few weeks :p ...

Do you really need the Rhino? You can get the Thrustmaster Hotas X for much cheaper if you only plan on using it for ED.

There is no way to truely answer that question.

Myself I feel happy, a friend at work refuses to buy it. We both own SC ships.

Thing is ED, is a little empty, there is cool space stations, from when I was playing, it consisted of just travelling and ship destroying most of the time. The other ships that allow for you to trade is alot higher.

They have included missions at each space station, however some of them you cant do, some of them are with very little pay.Just generally the game was a little frustrating, when you got lag your ship would crash into the space station, sometimes when there was lag, I would destroy a Huge ship worth 41 000 cr. Only to get back to the space station and that kill didnt record.

If I were you, hold up. SC is updating controls almost every patch and the Rhino X-55 HOTAS would go well with SC

I really like my flight sims, thought I haven't played much lately. I've got a cyborg joystick atm and while it's snazzy, I think I'd much prefer the full stick and throttle setup. I thought about the Thrustmaster but not sure if buying budget will give me that immersive experience I'm after. Dunno.

Yeah I'm really excited about SC as well, so this HOTAS would be an investment of sorts for when SC hits in 2016.

The Rhino is a good looking stick and probably will last a while. Do you have a TrackIR or Freetrack setup?

I just logged in again to the client, and it said "Install" where it said "Purchase" yesterday. Busy downloading the game files now.

Despite Player Outcry, Elite: Dangerous Will Remain Always Online

Elite: Dangerous is shaping up to be the best open galaxy/virtual reality space trucking game this side of the Milky Way (which it includes all of), but controversy recently blotted out its starry sky when Frontier yanked a long-promised offline mode right before release. Worse, not everybody was offered refunds.
