Hi guys, my PSU packed up last night out of nowhere and I was wondering if any of you might know where I can pick up a average one for cheap?

Matrix warehouse in Centurion mall sells PSU for a decent price. Depending on your Wattage requirement it may be worthwhile buying a more expensive one instead.

I didn't follow the link, just went browsing on their website. Could not find the 980 there (well I could, but the price was over R10k).
So I followed your link, the GPU is listed in the wrong section (it is listed under 700 series) :D

Strange though, the EVGA 980 listed under the 900 series is also the superclocked one, but it is R2000 more than the one you linked. So not sure what is up with that.

Thanks for the link though Joker, was thinking of getting the MSI 970 Gaming, but this EVGA Superclocked one looks to be even more nom though.

Also saw rumours this morning regarding the R9 300 series GPU's from AMD, now I don't know if I should wait and see what those deliver or just go for it.

Its actually under the pick your path link bud.
As for the rumors, yeah I saw those early this morning, thing is AMD is using new mem stacking tech that will undoubtedly be fast but the cost increase will be quite a bit more over the current process.
Price wise I am thinking in the region of around $500 so you're looking at around R7000 or so.

$330 = R5800 (normal price for 970), so $500 should be around R8800.

Don't show things like this to me :3

I've been considering getting a GTX970 for quite some time, but the price has kind of kept me from doing it. This one, however, is quite a bit cheaper than anything else I've seen.

Damn you, for punishment I'm tempted to post that video again... :D

Haha I ordered mine this morning. You know you want to do it! :D

Wish I had close to R5k laying around for one. I already blew a non-existant budget on some Audio-Technica headphones on Amazon's Cyber Monday deals.
