Personally playing a female avatar can be very advantageous even though I am a male.

Seems people are more likely to give you help, specifically if they do not know whether or not you are a female or not. One person I knew played and acted as a female in an MMO just to gain such favor. It worked so damn well to be honest. He got so much help and even got a person to level / power-level his characters. In the end it bit him in the rear. Suddenly when he needed to use Vent in guild activities there was an issue and he got busted badly due to a series of bad lies that weren't followed up.

Ventrillo - It is a 3rd party software that a lot of online gamers use to communicate ingame via voice chat. It is a damn useful program for running strategies and the like in real-time with people anywhere in the world.

Another program often used is TS or Team Speak, but a lot of people prefer Ventrillo since it generally has better quality.
 
I use both, but obviously due to the TS server I use sitting locally, clarity is much better on there. Guess it's a case of personal preference - but either way, incredibly useful!
 
Oooh this is promising:

Each of these races will have their own starting cities. According to Eric, the trailer shows the Human and Asura starting cities, Divinity's Reach and Rata Sum. Perhaps the most welcome change in GW 2 is that these beautiful cities will not just be mere backdrops but vibrant places with buildings and houses that you can actually walk into. I did a double take when he mentioned houses, but unfortunately, player housing isn't something the developers are ready to discuss. Eric mentioned that they will probably reveal more about classes and gameplay early next year, so hopefully we won't have to wait too long.

Anyone seen the new race-specific screenshots on www.guildwars2.com? Go to The World -> Races and then scroll down to you race of choice's screenshots.

The Sylvari look different to what I was expecting, but pretty cool nonetheless.

The Asura they have in those screenshots look hilarious! Not in a bad way necessarily.

And lastly I'm really loving the Human models and clothing especially.

I'm still kinda keen to play Sylvari - I prefer the whole magic route thing anyways. I'm sure the Humans will be jack-of-all-trades kinda thing again - so I'll probably have a human alt.
