Warning: More Eskom load shedding this weekend

Be warned that according to a friend who works in upper management at Eskom, there is a 98% chance that you will receive load shedding this weekend (5/6/7 Dec) in the Gauteng area, even if, as many of us have, you received load shedding last night (Thurs 4 Dec).

There is apparently some sort of crisis.

I suggest staying away from games that "lock you into" them and punish you if you leave (i.e. MOBA games and the like).

Just a friendly heads up.

Dang like ten minutes later we were out for 4 hours! What did you friend say is the issue this time?
 
More are expected today.

Some areas in the Cape have had two load shedding sessions today (as well as yesterday).

Apparently it will continue until next week, at which point they expect it to "stabilize".

Does senior Eskom management have some kind of long range plan (of any sort)?

A plan to reach into space perhaps? That's quite a long range, no? :p

We've also been hit twice today. Luckily my wife and I are at a hotel tonight. My in-laws are staying at our house, so we hear about the darkness there.
