Yeah it seems like the crashing issue is ram related.
Like I said I haven't had 1 crash in the 2 hours I've played and also didn't have any bugs or issues to speak of.

Side note, I started a new game with the warrior, although the Assassin/Rogue is pretty cool its just way too soft for my play style.
Warrior just trashes everything, does a ton of dmg from the get go.
 
I forgot why I don't like the Souls series, this reminded me. It's easier perhaps that Souls, but just as frustrating due to the amount of dying :3
It's just not for me, I might just bust a vein in my head before I get 2 hours into the game.

Is there a special way to approach or play this type of game I'm not getting?

Typical approach. Shield up and watching and wait for you chance to attack. Learn the enemies style. Very patient game. The combat is very slow in comparison to the Souls series.

Yeah, I learned the whole shield up and wait thing early on, but the very first secret area has this fucking spider, it jumps on you and you can block, but a lot of dmg still gets thru, and the movement space is limited. Also he spawns mini spiders. I died like 15 times trying different things, almost got him once, but then I got stabbed in the back by another enemy. I nearly lost my shit :D

Wondering if I should stick with keyboard and mouse or use my xbox controller (the next time I play).

Depends on the class, if you play a rogue you can get away without using a shield, its more than fast enough to dodge everything.

Shocker: I think this game is much better than the souls games :D

@Blazzok: X360 controller works way better than kb + mouse
 
I tried the controller as well (both PS4 and X360), but I prefer k/b & mouse. Dark Souls I play with a controller though, but k/b & mouse works fine for this game.
 
For the guys new to a genre like this, make sure you explore every part of the map, found such a bunch of cool stuff because I went exploring :D lol
 
I see this is going for R469 for PS4 in the PSN sale. . .Been watching some game play vids and it looks like fun. Pretty keen.

If you don't mind ending up dead a lot when you 1st play then you'll enjoy the game, I don't have any trouble with normal mobs anymore, pretty much only the bosses that give me a hard time every now and then.

Fantastic game this.

Well I've moved on quite a bit now, having such a blast with the game. Def one of the best games I've ever bought :D Combat is slightly slower than the souls games but you can do so much more and I am having blast mixing up shield and gauntlet game play.
