Now your just trolling. COD 4 is one of the very best Games ever made. Its story is brilliant and the gameplay and design genius.
For spending so much time on the forums of a game site, you guys don't seem to read a whole lot of reviews judging by the garbage you buy =).
I know someone is probably going to give me the whole "jaded reviewers" bit, but www.metacritic.com can at the least give you a good idea of what your in for with a game.

Lol. I believe in reading several reviews before buying a game. Superman i bough on a whim back when it was released for a reason im not quite sure.
Unfortunately the problem with any review is that it's someones opinion. A Reviewer could give it 3 and somewhere out there someone will think its the best titles ever made.
But yeah ive seen some scary titles being mentioned here.

Haha sometimes even the most fastidious gamer falls for the hype and just buys something. Or even better, we see something new in a shop and think to ourselves, "Hmm, I know about this game, but I have not read any reviews for it. I feel like playing something new, what should I do?". Often that kind of thought turns into a purchase.

Never experienced a game where gameplay could be fantastic and then poo in the space of two missions. The Chernobyl mission summed up the game for me. Original, tense, brilliant up to the snipping then all down hill into a brainless lemming killing fest *yawn*
I was about to buy that far Cry 2 when my cousin told
me not to because it isn't a good game, it will just waste
my $... So she's right! Hahaha... So far, all of the games
that I have here are good, no regrets of buying them...

Anyway - I found Far cry2's sandbox to be a little too big (taking into account the limitation in vehicles & respawning mobs) - when you have to do missions taking you to the opposite side of the map each time.
I'll finish it one day.

Far Cry is to date one of Ubisoft's biggest fails. The game has got such potential. Change the respawn time on the mobs and make it so that their delivered to the area via truck or something. Write in a little AI that clears up the bodies and such. Also the gun runner missions, why not make is so that the trucks actually go somewhere instead of just driving in huge circles. Oh yes and make it so that i can carry any combination of weapons i want no just the ones that the game designers, in their infinite wisdom, decided i may use. And for god's sake u guyz made Splinter Cell you'd think they could do stealth right.

That respawning this pissed everyone off. I can understand the check point being repopulated in like 30 minutes or something, but repopulated and rebuilt. Killed it for me. My idea of Dynamic AI is that they used the destroyed area to their advantage.
