ja i have the tracking number, she just refuses to give it to me cause the names on my drivers and the box dont add up and its post office policy "apparently" not to give the parcel out without actual proof that you are who you say you are.

i even tried to tell her that im married now and that my surname has changed and thats why it doesnt add up... she was then like ok, bring me you marriage certificate cause it will have your old surname on.... *sigh* iwonder what the chances are of her working again tomorrow...

Sigh she is not wrong just an asshole. perhaps check diffrent times or over lunch time if she is the regular she would most likely take lunch and someone will cover.
 
thats kinda fail :/

only thing i rate you do is make a print out of the forum page showing that you are who you say you are if still no luck i would just ask for a manager of the branch.

hopefully the manager is not as thick as the person you dealt with >< and not the same person :eek:

Did you not get a slip from the post office? I'm sure all the guy I had to deal with was scanning my ID number into the system and not what name was on the ticket, I think. My real name was on the package.

As far as I was concerned they just want to know who collected the package.

I wish to formally apologize for the amount of trouble that you are experiencing with the collection of your parcel, this kind of gives away who your SS is :( I was not supplied with personal information (besides your address) and I should have requested for a first name at least, but I was worried that it may have not reached you in time (it seems it did not, regardless. I will be using Postnet next year) the women who booked in the parcell said as long as you show the tracking number and proof of address it should suffice.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do, like a formal letter of recommendation/collection.

hey Glor, dont worry who knew the post office is so utterly difficult.

by the way i kinda suspected from the start. i had it narrowed down to between you and Ducknuckle ;)
 
ok so after me having to prove my actual existence with my online alias at the post office this is the awesomeness that i received! definitely worth the hassles!

Overall i have to say this group of people has amazed me and humbled me. You are all amazing and generous and a little nuts! Thank you each and everyone for participating!
