Warcraft 3 being remade in StarCraft 2 engine as a mod

Just found this on the internet, it is just this trailer for now, they are working on a gameplay video at the moment.
It is a StarCraft 2 mod basically and at the moment it isn't clear if they are just remaking the multiplayer part or intend to remake the whole campaign. Information seems to be scarce for this at the moment, they have been working on it for > 3 years it seems.


 
It's funny because I remember a similar video a long, long time ago where they were "remaking" Starcraft in the Warcraft 3 engine (this was long before SC II's release).

I wonder what actually happened to that project...

I can only agree with you here...

Why they couldn't keep the story separate, and keep going with the Warcraft RTS i will never know... But if you look at it from a financial point of view Blizzard have made the right call hands down...

Its a real pity that Starcraft became their go to RTS, not that I have anything against Starcraft, its just that I was such a fan of Warcraft all the way back to Warcraft 1...

They were clever in a sense though to cover all their bases...

True... I never actually thought about that, but i absolutely love hearthstone, and am so Amped for Overwatch...

What i like about Blizzard is they focus on a specific play style, and try make it the best they can...
 
I loved Hearthstone, but it didn't grab my attention for long. I played it intensely for a weekend and haven't touched it since. It was like an incredible one night stand.
