Archie seems to be enjoying it! What you playing on Archie?
Unlucky dude sheez.got be honest we don't do anything but beat zeds non stop. Pc. All my mates kept on trying to watch my game through steam and caused a frame drop to 15 fps. Setup twitch eventually.

Filing for a refund. The tutorial ran great but straight after it's just one massive stutter fest. Meet all the requirements too.

I'm just so fucking tired of games not working at release. I can't be arsed to deal with this shit.

What are you playing it on, runs perfectly smooth on my rig and all my mates pc's.

Edit: apparently there was a patch before the game launched that caused some issues with the fov but I'm sure that'll be sorted, just hold on dude, from the little I've played so far I know the game is gonna be epic!!

Edit 2: Some fixes while you wait for a patch.

Make sure your system has up to date Windows and drivers
Try to increase/Decrease Resolution, it’s a trick sometimes work
Turn off V-Sync
Reduce the View Distance to half, it will make no much difference in visuals but FPS will be great
Set the Textures and Shadowmaps to Medium
Reduce FOV
If you are an AMD/ATI graphic card user, you must kill AMD Gaming Evolved Application before launch the game.
Try turning on Triple Buffering in the NVidia Control Panel.

I can't help but feel its driver related and not the actual game, I haven't had any real issues at all...I've only played about 15min though..lol

I really want to get this but I have WAY to many games to play at the moment, and I don't want this to just join my "queue".

Anyone tried multiplayer / Co-op yet?

I've got an i5-4440, AMD HD7850 and 8GB RAM. Nothing amazing, but I should at the very least be able to play this comfortably at medium settings. I've got everything set to low or off, with view distance around 25% and yet I still stutter.

I'm just so over it. The tutorial was perfect. I got far over 60FPS there with most settings on High. As soon as the tutorial ended, bam! Stuttering. Just once I want to start up a PC game and have no issues right off the bat. Just once.

I also think it's GPU related. It seems mostly ATI users having the issues. It doesn't help that I refuse to buy Nvidia because of their shitty business practices.

I'll try reducing FoV and see how that goes, thanks.

Okay, I got it working. Kind of. Everything on low with FoV all the way down (42 D: ) made it kinda playable with the odd stutter and side effect that I get motion sick. So I opened up CPU-controll and set the affinity to 4 cores, because apparently for some people it only uses one. Then I open task manager and set the priority to High.

Now it seems playable and I could even push the FoV up to 85. It looks like ass and it's not optimal, but it runs well enough to actually play. I've closed my ticket asking for a refund and I'll see how things go the next few days as it gets patched and AMD rolls out new drivers. Not likely that Steam would issue me a refund anyway.

Glad you got it some what sorted, there should be an AMD driver in the next couple of days and I'm sure there will be a patch for the game in the next 24 hours as well.

This is kinda where it's nice to have a console.

I understand your grievance, but sometimes it's also nice not have to worry about technicalities such as that.

and draw distance? That is actual the big performance booster.

Yeah, hopefully. I should definitely be playing this game better than this. You using Nvidia or AMD? I can't shake the feeling that games developed with Nvidia in mind are always badly optimized for AMD. It feels like I'm being forced into buying Nvidia cards sometimes.

Yeah, that makes sense depending on the type of gamer you are. If you're going to be playing predominantly AAA games then a console is good. I mostly play indie games and the occasional AAA, so a console would go to waste for me.

Mine's set to about 30%. With the CPU tweaks I've just pushed foilage to High and Shadow Map to Medium without a significant drop in performance. It's odd.

Well don't go thinking its just AMD. I was getting 15 fps. after reading all that what what's, rocking at 30 - 45. Not great but hey they will have to fix.

Running a GTX980 and yeah you are 100% correct, games that use Nvidia gameworks rubbish always run piss poor, tons of proof all over the net (Far Cry4, Watch Dogs, AC Unity, Dying light).
Once the AMD driver launches I'm sure you'll get a decent boost in performance.

I think you might want to have a look at the Indie games on the PS4... We get at least 1 free a month with playstation plus, and i must say I often enjoy the Indie games more than the big names!

Yeah, but indie games aren't as numerous or as varied as on PC. Plus there's the issue of mods too. Maybe once I start working and my gaming time becomes more limited a console would suit my use more, but right now consoles just don't offer enough for me.
