Bargain Hunter
Hey there. Thanks for clicking this post and reading this. Here's my story:
I have a R9 280x. I have AMD Gaming Evolved client (The Raptr one that comes with drivers).
I've been using the client for the "record the last 10 seconds of gameplay at the push of a button" feature.
Sometimes the client works fine, and I'm able to run games smoothly and record gameplay (saints row 3, borderlands 2, fifa 13, CS:GO...this is both origin and steam).
Sometimes though it is NOT friendly:
Game crashes on startup
Game freezes (and must kill process in Task Manager) within 5-10 seconds of getting past logo's onto main menu
Graphic driver "resets" itself (screen goes blank, the hdmi/vga adapter loses signal and then pops back up again) usually causing game to have to be killed as well.
All of this is COMPLETELY RANDOM. the same game can work when i start it up, then i close it and start same game up, and it might crash/freeze. then try again/another game and it might work, might not.
NONE of these issues EVER occur when AMD Gaming Evolved is OFF completely.
While I appreciate any feedback, lets get these ones out the way:
I have used various amd drivers, both final and beta's (currently OMEGA driver).
I have up to date windows 7 64 bit.
cpu/gpu i have tried slightly downclocking in case that had an effect (it didn't).
Some people seem to have issues with Gaming Evolved, others none.
Maybe we can bounce a few ideas/stories off each other and I could start recording those "through-the-wall headshots" and "bone-crunching tackles" that make lanning fun! (having instant replay really does show that its always funnier the 2nd time
)
