Huge Hail Storm in PMB

Luckily we got away with minor damage and 3 broken windows, but our neighbours got flooding, dented cars, tile damage and gutter damage.

Dam those things are huge. How did they get flooded. Also tell them dented cars are more airodanamic!

Geez check the size of them! Hectic!

I will tell them :p and they got flooded because the drains in our street goes down their driveway into their door instead of accross as there is no funnel there, so they will have to ask the municipality.

Quite a terrible road design by the municipality

A that sucks big time! I am so sick of bad road design we have a road here that goes over a hill and the corners are sloped towards the wrong way. So going around it you think you might end up going down the mountain.

Woah... we just got a very light rain and little rolling thunder.

Lucky you missed the storm there :)

Not sure how they passed the design phase without a test to see where the water flows

Our roads nearby are also just as bad too the water runs into the corner of our road instead of down almost flooding it as the drains can't handle the water volume.

Really grim. And this is on the back of a recent hail storm in the region. Sorry fella!

My sister (Howick) got flooded last year because the hail blocked up the drains in front of her house and it took the next easiest route... right through the house. Happens so quickly :(

My sister and brother-in-law are in PMB. Here's some pics:

Making rum and coke :)

And here's a random pic that showed up on my Facebook timeline (apparently from this hail storm, although looks a bit unnatural):

Crazy will have to check tommorow to see what happened to my drains

Wow that is scary, I'm glad to hear it was just property damage. I think if someone got hit by one of those it would be game over.

Definitely some of the biggest I have seen. I did know one guy who's car got written off completely due to hail damage, but he didn't take any pictures (this was before everyone had cell phones, and before cell phones had cameras).

I have never seen non-round hail though. Pretty cool in a horrifying way. Glad everyone is ok.

Thanks same here they usually perfectly round when we normally get hail and small so this was a first in 27 years of living here.

I'm originally from PMB too. This happens every now and then. Its horrible. My first car got f*cked properly. The neighbours little dog was outside and was killed. This was quite a few years ago though. Glad I'm not there anymore. I'd cry if my bike got hit by this.
