The thing is over use of cleaning products. I use too use way to much so I learned to scale down till you can't smell it anymore.

Just wire the lights to the on circuit of the ignition, takes the thought out of it

Yeah I've just had some issues with the battery dying really quickly in the past so I'm hesitant to start the bike with lights on as it takes extra charge... (or so I've been told)

it does, but the only issue I ever have is a cold start in winter
