Dying Light Opinions and Release Date

Ive tried every guide there is,but no luck.I hopw amd release a driver soon

Damn you nvidia.this is crap its sad to read all the great comments about the game but you cant play it[emoji17]

Well its worth the wait, its a great game...the 1st 10min or so was piss boring and I thought it was another failed game but the game gets better and better with every quest you complete and at the end I was sad it was over lol. I'm sure AMD will release a driver for the game in the next couple of days.

I gave up on PC gaming for new games like in early 2014, it's too costly to keep up with the gaming requirements.

If you had an i5 cpu the only thing you would have needed to change was the gpu every couple of years and with a booming 2nd hand market you could have pickd up a R9 280X for R2500, a card that can max almost any game @1920x1080:D

I don't doubt it. Seen enough gameplay footage to convince me that I want this game. However, I got of a backlog quite recently, so I will have to put it on hold. Who knows, maybe by the time I can actually buy it, it will be on a Steam Sale.

I'm happy about my backlog, at least I know I have a lot to keep me busy.

I have a Quad core and 2gig Ram, The casing and MBoard that I have is too old and I would have to replace it.
Most of last year I wasnt working due to my studies plus I couldnt afford getting a new Cpu and motherboard, oh and I'd need a new casing....sigh.

I use my console for gaming now, I buy 2nd hand games or loan from friends.

In that case it makes sense.
In most other cases people just assume pc gaming is expensive and continue on the console path the rest of their lives.

I wish building a PC wasnt so pricey otherwise I'd be jamming on my PC again, but alas.

I mostly play MP and MMO on my console, I would normally play SP on my PC.

Once you complete main storyline does it end? Is there a "point of no return"? Would love to just be able to run around the infested city indefinately (especially with friends, the makeshift "competitions" in co-op is really nice).

Without going into spoiler-ridden detail obviously, would be nice to know if the game finishes or if you can just dick around :)

I can't think of an open-world game that didn't let you dick around after completing the main story.

True, it would be pretty silly if that was it... normally you can still go and so side missions etc... all the things you missed...

That Be the Zombie vid is ridiculous... Looks like so much Fun!

Nope, you can dick around as much as the ANC, there is also a "New Game Plus" unlocked after you complete it, you carry over all your weapons, gear and levels but the zombies are harder and the loot is so much better.

Excellent! thanks for the response:)

Awesome that they have thought about the replay-ability factor...

Techland announced free DLC.

Techland will be adding some free DLC to Dying Light that introduces a new hard mode to the game in response to some players who aren't finding the game enough of a challenge. As well as the new level of difficulty, the free add-on will also bring a few new skins to the zombie table.

The hope is that hard mode will make the tough night phases even more dangerous, with Volatiles proving fatal and undead enemies proving more deadly than usual. Stealth will be of paramount importance to survive. Or you can do what we do and cower in a building until morning comes.

Dying Light's upcoming free hard mode update will be "coming soon", and is "the first of many additions to come" according to the developer. There's new paid DLC out now for the game too.

Though I think it's not really DLC but should be an option.

It really sounds amazing, but will wait for it to go on sale.

I was enjoying this game immensely, but it's really starting to piss me off now. All of a sudden the game started crashing constantly after like 5 minutes of gameplay. It was fine for more than 30 hours, but now it is almost completely unplayable. I play for between 5 - 10 minutes and then it crashes with the following message "Resize buffer failed device removed". I have done some reading and apparently it has to with the game being too resource intensive and then it tries to lower the system resolution which results in the crash. I have tried all the fixes suggested on the steam forums and other places I could find, but nothing works. People also say it mostly happens on overclocked systems, but nothing in my system is overclocked.

What's weird to me is that I have been playing it since release without any issues and now all of a sudden this started happening. Lot's of people have said they only started getting the error after a game patch, but mine was fine until last night and I haven't changed anything in my system. There was no new patch yesterday and I didn't install new GPU drivers or anything like that; everything in my system is exactly the same as when I started playing the game.

EDIT: I think I found the problem. It seems my PC did update my GPU drivers without me noticing and it looks like that was causing the issue. I've rolled back the drivers now and the game seems fine again. It kind of sucks that I can't update my drivers but at least I can play the game again. Hopefully they can patch it.

Wlad I was about to msg you lol

Yeah the Nvidia driver update caused quite a few issues and not just with Dying Light.

Lol, good to know it's not just me. At least rolling back the driver sorted the problem.
Cool man. Glad you got sorted. Mine is still broken. Please share here when there is a new patch or fix for the game ive been checking for it everyday lol. Enjoy
