So I'll be working late today, and probably over the weekend as well. Joyous moment. -.-

All I have to worry about when I get home is try to sort out a (seemingly) broken PC that has been standing in my room for the past 5 days now.

Probably an overheating issue. Fill a bath with water, put the PC inside the bath and run it, the water cooling should help a lot.

Good advice that, it even helps with people to bring down a fever so it should work on an overheating PC. What could go wrong?

It's probably just motherboard related.

Have to determine why the mobo doesn't "pick up" (detect) the HDD, but picks up the 2 CD drives.

I fixed it. Had boot up issues but I resolved it; was a simple procedure. I was then supposed to install a dongle and its features to get internet working on that PC, UNFORTUNATELY, the problem persisted. I was not informed about it. Someone else went tinkering inside (as was what I was told) and now the HDD is not detected (in spite of the fact that I got it working).

Now, I have to run a few tests to narrow down and try to determine to cause of this fault.

So no to the bathtub solution then?

no no no no no

it was just a slight misunderstanding. my fault really, I'm not used to such an "advanced" mouse. I learned my lesson :D

Okay so I've now figured out that they make mouses to game with. Totally ignorant here, but what makes it different from a standard mouse? I have no clue about master race things.

Depends on what kind of games you play/ For RPG/MMORPG games you get mice with 10+ programmable buttons.
For FPS games you get mice that are sleek and comfortable with adjustable DPI

Hope this answers your question :)
