I think the transmog is it... But it is building up into a full set, so after a few seasons we will have the full transmog...
 
For Barbs:
If you have a Unity and SoJ(BKWB otherwise) and playing solo it's better to run 5 piece Raekor(Everything but Shoulders) and then for Group play swap out Unity for RoRG and use Leoric's Crown.

Still hoping for a SoJ here, but using a BKWB instead.
 
Only played a little this weekend... After a power leveling expedition with Wyvern and Caboose i upped the difficulty on my game, and strangely enough, every drop i got was better than the gear i had on "whistling:
 
I like the addition of the new imps. I've already gotten quite a few blood shard and collector imps, which is great. However so far no vault either :/
 
Last season I didnt play much, but was lucky enough to get 1 vault visit... The Gold in there is actually ridiculous...
 
Soon after the vaults were included (2.0 or 2.1 patch I think), I got one while casually showing the game to my brother. I told him he was going to have to wait while I did it. I got 21 million gold and a boon of the hoarder from it. I haven't seen a vault since. I had maybe 80 - 100 hours playtime on my account when it happened. I was lucky.

yeah I only got one vault so far. made it out with 40 mil in gold and 3 or for legendaries :D

Pony island I have visited twice now
 
have gotten the vault like 4 times so far once on normal once for season 1 hardcore and normal ,then over the weekend again for season 2
 
But whats the point of gold in D3, last I checked there was no real purpose for it. Its not like u can take 40mil and get a nice legendary for it. But then again its been a while since I played, so don't know what might have changed.

Well at the very least, large amounts of gold is necessary for combining gems (I think it takes 9 milion gold to go from Marquise to 1 Fine Royal gem - someone correct me if I'm wrong). You also need it for re-rolling any item, legendary or not, and finally it's useful for crafting for characters that you are trying to level if you don't have a good item in a particular slot. Gold is very necessary, but you definitely need other items too like Forgotten Souls which are more difficult to come by than gold.

Combining gems is by far the most important use for it in my opinion.
 
Ah ok fair enough. Gold made more sense when there was the AH. I miss the AH, from the constant buying and selling I did was good fun.

It's been discussed ad nauseum on this forum, but I have to say it: the auction house ruined Diablo 3. It completely removed the fun of finding useful items for your character and instead made everything a grind for gold to get the perfect item on the auction house which you then had to sift through to find what you were looking for. Good riddance to that.

I came back to D3 after a year and half for two reasons:
1. They removed the auction house
2. I got RoS for dirt cheap.

The auction house was a terrible idea and it made the game into Economy Simulator 2013 instead of the ARPG that it is now.

Yeah I agree, the AH was terrible. I used it at first but soon realized that I had become bored with the game, mostly because the AH was taking away all the fun. Obviously I could decide not to use it, but it always felt like I was at a disadvantage when not using it. Good riddance, the game is much better off without it.
