Who, what, where and most importantly Why?

Prr's dad is a tourist guide who owns his own business but also helps out when the need arises. He was doing a tour for one company and on Tuesday was at the restaurant of one hotel in Roodepoort where he was poisoned and had pretty much everything except his clothes stolen. After this the details are very, very unclear and I won't know more until... well, we know more.

The hotel seems to be doing their best to be covering it up though, which is understandable considering their reputation is at stake. Whether this happened in the restaurant or in his room is still unclear, but obviously he had to have been escorted to his room by whomever poisoned him to gain entry. He had to have either known these people or have been entirely out of it (which he was, he doesn't remember a thing) to have allowed them in.

What I find strange is that not a single person noticed anything weird at all.

The hotel manageress had already cancelled his cards (all of them, including the ones he didn't use). But apparently he told her to? He doesn't remember this.

When he was taken to the hospital early Wednesday morning, he was assumed to have been drunk - could barely walk, was slurring his speech - and it was assumed he had alcohol poisoning. Prr's dad barely drinks and on this occasion, from what I understand, only had one glass of wine. Blood tests confirmed it wasn't alcohol poisoning, but that he was definitely poisoned. Again, I don't know much more beyond that. He was given a brain scan which ruled out a stroke. However, yesterday afternoon when Prr spoke to him, he sounded very out of it still and as still slurring...

Today, however, he seems fine. He's just weak and seems frail, but he says he feels better and the slurring is gone. He was also released from hospital earlier so should be on his way home (not doing the tour any longer).

I find it all very, very suspicious and I feel inclined to believe that the hotel or the manageress or someone had something to do with it. Since I don't understand how an elderly gentleman can have one drink and after a while be so out of it that no one finds something weird with this. And then to still be escorted to his room by strangers (if this is indeed what happened) and no one saw this?

This is just very dodgy.. But, in all honesty, he's ok, he just needs time and everything else is inconsequential, so, again, I'm happy.

sounds like a rohypnol dose Lycan ........ or something along those lines anyway :o

I think so too, but I don't get how doctors can't detect that in his blood? At least the blood test ruled out alcohol poisoning, which the medical aid would've refused to pay out for because, apparently that's considered a means of suicide and they don't pay out for suicides...

The Hospital should be able to trace rohypnol or other benzo rather easily.

I have drug test kits here at work that only requires a urine sample and will indicate the presence of around 9 different substances.

We'll i would first see if he was in the bar drinking with someone, as they could have spiked his drink. If that turns out to be a dead end the barman working is ur best suspect and its easy to slip someone something then have your buddy the porter escort him to his room only to rob him blind. Makes as much fuss as you possibly can. Threaten news papers and TV even if its just a bluff. The hotel will do whatever it takes to settle it.

While working in the UK we had a case where one of our Slovak kitchen porters went into an used room to fap to the porn channel his buddy in reception orginised him. So then guest walk in finding damp towels and a burly slovak guy scattering as they unlocked the towel. Safe to say he was out of the hotel before the guests got to their new room.

If they took blood the next morning when they took him to hospital it could have passed through his system especially if he vomited. What hotel was it BTW?

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say... Could be construed as libel against them... I'm not 100% sure of the name either... Some airport hotel lodge thing... *shrug*

And thanks for your advice, will be passing it along.

/bleh so many skills at level 4 in EVE, /me doesn't know what to train next :(

T2 armor repping/armour hardeners, T2 Drones or T2 rails

Cuban Doctors

Anyone out there who knows where i can find a cuban doctor?

I need a stomach transplant coz heartburn is killing me

I reckon T2 armor will help a bit with my tanking for Level 3s - Level 4s :o

90% of my damage now comes from drones (which seem easier than T2 rails).

In your case T2 rails > drones since you'll be flying a Mega

Ill be on tonight from say... 8ish. We can do a few missions.

I dont want to start with lv1's again and since my thorax is still 24 jumps away ill just do lv3 with u.
