World of Warcraft - General Discussion

World of Warcraft is so last year. Besides, your Xfire says you've been playing Guild Wars so you don't even play WoW? Because let's face it, nobody has that little life that they are able to successfully play both WoW and Guild Wars and still have time to eat and breathe.... Right?

Please tell me I'm right....

I lol'd as a mental image of Dax ala Hannah Montana popped into my head. :D

Yes I do play WoW...I've just run out of time, lol.

And, being on a gap year, I can quite easily do all that and more.

well i used to guildwars + hellgate + wow; now that was a life sucker, then i saw the light and went to just one mmo at a time only-

ummmm as far i know tbc is ol... ?
but i agree wotlk's gear looks sucky and story is a bit lame

I enjoyed wotlk but when it came out I found that being in a raiding guild it was more of a 'lets rush to get 80 so we can start raiding again'. I ended up lagging behind because there we so many nooks and crannies that just had to be explored.

What bothers me is that I've done more WotLK instances than Old World instances, since I solo'd most of the way to 80.

Now, there is just no time to go back and do the lower level instances, and when I do have time, I have no clue how to run the instance, like Dire Maul (which looks awesome). Luckily I met a guy who loves the Old World stuff, and he took me through two of the instances. Just feels like you can't level a new toon with all that stuff still outstanding on the lvl 80

I spent my last days doing all the lvl 60 instances.

Dire Maul sure is a pain. Black Rock Depths / Spire / Black Wing Lair were all pretty confusing as well.

I loved farming mounts from those instances. I never got my goat from stratholme, but I do love my Zulian tiger ^_^ & brewfest kodo. Oddly enough, the prettiest mount in the entire game is a simple rep grind one - the wintersaber trainers' frostsaber. Took me 4 days to grind it - kinda killed the game for me then.

I was working on my lvl60 Bloodfang set before I quit WoW. I see they reintroduced the same armor skins for Onyxia 2.0.

Battle.net Accounts Becoming Mandatory For WoW

from the you-know-what-this-means dept.

An anonymous reader tips news that Blizzard will be requiring all World of Warcraft players to use Battle.net accounts to log into the game starting on November 11th. After that time, players who don't switch will be unable to play the game. Some time after the transition is complete, players will be able to "participate in cross-realm chat in World of Warcraft, create real-life friends lists, and communicate across different games." More details on the new Battle.net and what it will do are available in our Blizzcon wrap-up and interviews from August. Naturally, the idea that the new Battle.net is getting closer to deployment has sparked speculation that the StarCraft II beta might come along soon.
