Bloodborne: is it the best game ever made?

Finally there is an exceptionally good console exclusive for "new-gen" and "is it the best game ever" is being thrown around. I think that's a bit of a stretch.

If you knew the Souls series then you would understand the reasoning behind the mentality of "best game ever".

This was exactly my feeling.

I haven't really seen anything that has necessitated buying a PS4 until this game. It looks awesome! I love the gothic horror setting. I really really want to play it :D

I am a Souls fan, yes! I have played through Demon's Souls , Dark Souls (two copies), Dark Souls 2 (two copies). I have spent hundreds of hours in each of these titles; I have watched through countless hours of videos on gameplay, lore, speed runs, story, in depth, etc.
And as you can probably tell, I get quite excited just talking about it. Sure it may still be very early days and I haven't really put in any hours (yet) into Bloodborne, but from what I have played is that this is what any 'Souls game could have and should have been. Bloodborne is the epitome of the Souls esque franchise. They have defined a genre and play style. What you have to realize is that the Souls games have one of the biggest communities on the interwebs and as such this title will be held with very high regard!

*I don't claim to be the best or know everything about the 'Souls series, but I consider myself to know enough. This is my passion in gaming!

Sorry, I don't mean to come across as rude or obnoxious, I'm just very passionate about 'Souls and Bloodborne.

But this kinda thing really grinds me, why get someone who is obviously new(ish) and quite frankly, a "casual" to play the game to an audience that deserves better, especially when you're one of the biggest gaming publications!

For any Souls fan, we're used to this. Nothing new! And frankly it's no longer than that of Dark Souls 2 load times, so what's the problem.

maybe it's like TLOU. first time load takes uber long. but only the first time.
