Where are you guys sending the NPC's? To the chapel or the clinic?
I've sent everyone to the chapel so far. Only found out about the clinic yesterday lol.

I'm also there now, couldn't play last night so I'm gonna start exploring there after work today.

The clinic is right near the first lamp when you start the game. Just go up the stairs to the closed door. There is a women you can talk to.

Apparently you can get different items from the NPC's depending on where you send them.
 
I've finally made some progress in Old Yharnam but still haven't killed that gatling gun hunter, but looks like I'm on the streets. I have a healthy amount of blood echos, so do I go back and respawn everything or press on.
 
Well I've met the Bloodstarved-Beast, got him down to 1/3 of health then he just went agro on my ass. Literally killed me from full health with one combo-attack?!




Who played the Alpha/Beta and how far were you able to get in that?

Only a very few, seems servers are too busy or area to large. Because in The Hunters Dream, a small world, I am able to view just about all of them.

Yeah, same problem. I see all the notes! But not the spectres, just their bloodstains. When I press X their tomb just goes back down and don't see any red spectre phantoms.

The local and worldwide settings are purely for match making. I thinks it's a bandwidth issue, or the servers are too loaded to accommodate it. I think it's a big they seriously need to address. Reddit is full of people with this issue.
 
My fight against the Blood-starved Beast... I tried [-]summoning[/-] beckoning that NPC you find near Cathedral Ward (can't remember his name).

This forbidden woods area is one seriously fucked up place! Lost about 30K blood echoes here and even after finding 2 shortcuts I am still completely lost and have no idea where to go.

EDIT: Found the boss and got killed in less than 30 seconds. [emoji14]

Also read about a bug now which blocks progress. To avoid getting the bug they say you shouldn't summon or invade anyone in the forbidden woods area. From is aware of the issue and working on a hot fix. There goes my plan of summoning some help...

EDIT 2: Tried the boss 2 more times and couldn't make it past the 30 second mark. I think I might have to wait for that hotfix if I wanna get past this boss.

EDIT 3: Decided to give the boss one last go before calling it a night. Almost had it, but got killed in the end. At least I have somewhat of a strategy in mind now, will try again tomorrow night if I get a chance to play. You can check out my failed attempt here if you are interested.

I got to the forbidden woods but had to stop last night.I have seen spectres but I only was connected for a short while.I like playing my first play through offline.
