Argh! I just paid R700 for this game and now it's asking if I want to buy one of 100 DLC items.

The worst kind of DLC for me is the one where one is FORCED to spend money in order to progress further in a game. A prime example is Mass Effect 3.
The game's multiplayer was designed in such a way where you had to open mystery boxes to find better weapons and upgrades. Obviously you'd get boxes when you upgrade your character... but these RARELY had anything really good in them. So you play again, and again, and again, and again... it gets pretty tedious pretty quickly. Especially when you're new.
Oh... and in order to stand a better chance in the single player campaign you need to have played a substantial amount of multiplayer.
So what are you forced to do? Buy premium boxes in the hope that premium weapons and upgrades were inside... it killed my enjoyment of the game. I played through ME1 and ME2 at least 5 times each... I couldn't bare to play through ME3 again.
(The crusty ending didn't help either)

I'm against any kind of DLC, unless it is "Expansion Pack" (any game before internet) or "Game: The Sequel" with ability to travel between games (see Guild Wars 1).
The latter is more preferable, especially for RPG kind and for cost of game you get another game of same size. While former irks me with 0.33-0.50 game size of original.

Thats sad bru. Of course they're cheaper. A bit of extra digital paint on something costs the publisher an hour or three of gfx designer time. An actual expansion as envisioned by joker takes 100s of hours of dev time, design time, and gfx time.If DLC seems like a decent purchase at a decent price, best believe I'll consider buying it. Usually visual as they work out cheaper. "whistling:
"visual" DLCs are good in only one way...and thats in that they're not pay to win...they have literally no redeeming features beyond that.
