yay lanplay!

Nice for PC owners. But I dont understand why the release the game only to patch it with LAN capabilities not even 2 weeks later.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Shouldn't the game come out with all these features already in?

Seems a little stupid to me. Sounds like the they rushed it through Dev to meet a release deadline instead of just waiting a bit.

Welcome to the publishers demanding world.

Thank you EA.

if Slightly Mad were given a bit more time, most of the game's little irritations would have been sorted.

EA is synonomous with patches right after release. They just don't give developers enough time to sort everything out.

BF2 is a good example.

a step in the right direction for me is that they are actually "sortof" listening to fans, incorporating Lan and enabling mouse have been reqeusted on the forums.

Now they need to fix the distortion from some of the cars, and I wish they could add some more generic races but increase the difficulty cause it sucks that you dont get to drive your cars and tune them that long, as you get so much money you can just buy new and better cars after each race.

Why release a pc game that requires BETA G25 drivers to get it working, also introducing Bluescreens all over.

The gaming industry see's lan play as a way of piracy, becuase they take it we have fast internet to connect to there servers however it would seem that EA this time took us into account aswell, and There was a huge demand for it I guess.

WEll I am one of the lucky ones having no crashes sofar. The lan is awesome aswell if you get buddies that are really into racing!

I wish my experience was as bug free. Running it in windows 2000 mode results in less crashes but it still happens. Needs a restart once it crashes. Very annoying.

I'm still having some problems, not so many crashes (if i don't change original auto detect graphic settings). But it does freeze from time to time, which is hell... as the game actually keeps going the screen just doesn't update. So cruising into a corner, pause.... pause... yep.. your in the gravel heading for a crash.. super..

I had 1 crash no sofar in the game, and this was while waiting in the lobby for a race to start. Nothing major though.

I must say the antilag for the USA servers are absolutely Brilliant. It's like racing on a LAN, no delays nothing.
