Monitor Help

I'm looking at picking up a second monitor to help with my productivity. I'm currently working with a Samsung S23B370. The size is perfect for me.
I'm just looking for some recommendations as to where I should start my search as I don't really have much experience at all buying monitors, a friend helped me pick this one out a couple years back.

I like having my secondary monitor being able to rotate 90° for when I'm viewing A4 documents fullscreen in landscape mode.

You guys talking about second screens, When i just want 1 144hz Screen!!!!

Does the UltraSharp series of monitors perform well as a gaming monitor as well? That rotation seems great for when I'm working, but I'd like to have something I could use for gaming as well, if I decide to play something that'll work over 2 screens.

I think the IPS screens suffer a slight delay in ms responses, but I don't think it'll be very noticeable. But they do look really really great.

Now why on earth would u need a screen with such high refresh rate?

I currently play on a 60hz LED screen, and my team mates on 144hz.
You will no believe the difference if you put the 2 right next to each other. It is Sooooo much smoother and the response is insane!
It really does give you an edge especially with First Person Shooting games.
I also never made a big deal of it, till you actually compare them side by side

Those prices make me feel physical pain xD

Hmm that's debatable. I think when u at pro players level it will make a difference, I think its more bragging rights and a psychological ploy against ur competitors.

No really, put the 2 next to each other. a 60hz and a 144hz. it makes a HUGE difference. Not that debatable when it's in front of you and you actually see the difference in response and how smooth it is. I do not care what people think about my rig, Nothing is flashy at all. But i want a 144hz screen

I should be getting my first 120Hz monitor next week ^_^

Congrats! let me know how it is!!!!

Even though the refresh rates are nice and high, I still argue the point that it wont make u a better player. What u see here is the placebo affect, nothing more.

Not placebo affect at all! Go and do a bit more research. Place a 60hz and a 144hz right next to each other and look at the difference. it has absolutely nothing to do with a placebo affect. Higher refresh rate in FPS games mean sooo much! Not only is it much smoother, but those fractions of a second make the worlds difference.
