Where did you get that idea?
It's MS, they'll come up with something to ruin the Win10 party

It's possible that I might be overly pessimistic, and I could be wrong. However MS is an American company, and like all US based listed companies nothing matters except for how much money they can make. They'll have the money printing feature somewhere in that OS I'm sure of it. Somehow they will make bucket loads of cash from the OS, they always do, it's just not quite clear how.
Well they've got the Windows Store where you can buy apps that are sold via Microsoft. It's currently there in Windows 8 but it's a mess. In Windows 10 it works much better. So that's one of the main reasons why Microsoft wants everyone to have Windows 10. This doesn't meant that there aren't normal desktop applications though. You'll still get those as normal. But even they can be sold through the Windows Store.
You get Universal Windows apps now that works on pcs, tablets and phones which is pretty amazing.
So the store is the main way that Microsoft wants to make money.
Are you currently using Win10 Soli? Way back I loaded the pre release Win7 builds on my PC, but went back to XP as I found the pre release build too unstable (or rather a lot of programs not working).
So I won't have to buy my taskbar for the low low price of $5?
I just want some clarity regarding the whole Win10 situation. Will it be free forever, or will some licensing thing come along sometime or whatever?
Also they state this:
"...giving Xbox One owners the ability to play their Xbox One games from any Windows 10 PC in their home."
Does that mean, if you have an Xbox One, that you can play your Xbone games on the PC? Or will Win10 enable you to play Xbone games? I think they mean the former of those two in which case it is kind of weird. Can't imagine myself wanting to play a game on my PC when I can play it on the console sitting comfortably on the couch.
As for the XBox One thing. I've got a feeling you'll be able to stream the games to your PC and then play on there. Though, I'm going on my bad memory here.

SO why not just buy windows 7 and just upgrade to 10 for free? Surely it will be cheaper?
