maybe due graphics memory being primarily allocated to the game over the browser, maybe even CPU related too.

Yeah, can be a couple of things I suppose. I haven't experienced this though. It might be that your RAM is also full, perhaps try a different browser to see if that helps.
Maybe when you do this and it is choppy, just check your PC parameters. CPU usage, RAM usage, VRAM usage, GPU usage. Also update flash to the latest version if it isn't up to date (although the chances of this helping are low).
