Dragon Age Inquisition

i'm sad, but i gave up on Dragon Age :( i played it for about 30 hours (PC) and then got sidetracked by some other console games. i tried to get back into it a couple times, but just not able to reclick with it. decided to uninstall for now, as i have too much else to play. will try it again at some point in the future i guess.

but truth be told, i still prefer "SOLO" RPG experiences, like the Souls or Witcher series

I'm a bit late to the party (which is funny since I started this thread) but I finally got Dragon Age Inquisition! My wifey got it for me for the XBox One. I can't wait to play it! Will just finish the games I'm currently busy with.

Is anyone else still playing?

I started from over about a week ago, so yeah... I'm still playing.

Awesome! What are you playing as?

In the first DA I played a male elven mage. In DA2 I played a male human fighter. So I'm thinking of playing a female rogue this time around.

Female, elven mage. I'm about 8 (or so) hours into the game as is, kind of speeding across the story for now but not skipping dialogue. Rushing the not-so-important characters.

Any reason why you are rushing through the game?

Been there, done that.
Not so much rushing through the game, just parts of the game I've already experienced. Know where to go and what to get and do. Not exploring as much as I know what's where, so I make a bee line to my objectives. I still have sooooooo much left to cover.

Ah okay that makes sense then. :)

Heed my warning, IT WILL CONSUME YOUR LIFE!

I have clocked about 72 hours so far (since I got it mid April-ish and not counting the MP hours) and I think I'm only MAYBE halfway with the story, and I'm already planning my second and third playthrought...

Whew nice! Are you really going to play through it again? I don't know if I've ever loved a game so much that I played through it multiple times.

yeah the only other game I've played more than once (3 times) was Fable

but there are so many different ways to play just by changing some of your choices and tactics. and then there is the Dragon Keep where you can create and import your own world states

Oh man, I really hope I can play by Sunday. I already installed it and updated it.

So I've been playing for a bit. About 6 hours in.

It took me about half an hour to customise my female elven rogue and I'm very pleased with the results. It's my first time playing a female character in an rpg since the first Guild Wars (yeah I know it's an MMO).

The prologue was exceptional and I was entranced through all of it. It felt like Dragon Age but so much more. After that I played in that first town and everything still felt very dragon agey and it was amazing. Then I went to the Hinterlands and wtf, it's huge! I can't believe the amount of things to do. Suddenly the game didn't feel like the Dragon Age of old, it felt like Skyrim.

It's great that there's so much to do and time flies by so quickly while playing it. Currently in the Hinterlands it feels like all the great character interaction is getting a bit lost but I'm hoping that will return in later areas or when I actually touch the main storyline again.

Awesome game though! Even if it does feel more like Skyrim on steroids at the moment than Dragon Age.

When you get to level 4-6, go to the Storm Coast; better and more exciting things to do and discover there.

Post a screenshot, I would like to see your character, I will also post mine mine in response. :)
