Unreal Tournament 3 - 2D

UT2D for UT3 is a mod that turns Unreal Tournament into a 2D shooter. Basically, instead of looking out the player's eyes, you're looking at the side of the player while he runs left or right. Think like Mario, but UT3. Aside from all that, this is basically UT3. Most of the gametypes and weapons are all there.

I have personally tested this and it is awesome.

I'm a little confused. There's a 1.1 version that's around 82mb and a 2.0 that's only 27mb. Now do I need 1.1 then patch to 2.0 or what?

yeah the 2.0 is just a patch, extra level and stuff

no not at all, you just run left and right and jump.

I haven't been able to get into UT3, I was hoping for something more like the good old 99. Might give it another go after the newer addons and patches though and this mod looks like it could be fun.

same here, I still play it every now and then (eventhough we play the 2d mod often here) but the magic that was with UT99 and UT2003/2004 was not present in UT3.

I could spend hours playing UT99 against bots, same with ut2004, but sadly not the same thing with UT3, and I dunno why ?!?!?!?!?!?

Well maybe it was because there was no one to play with. I've only got to really play the game online recently and it's addictive fun. It's just insanely fast paced and the more you play the better you get and so thus everyone that plays with you. Nothing like being hunted then ending up being the hunter.
