The Official 2015 Steam Summer Sale thread

That's exactly why I'm asking. I wonder how the refunds work in this case. Can you get refunds for finding it elsewhere at a better price?
From what I understand, for any reason within 2 weeks and under 2 hours play time.

I wonder though if you can get a refund and then reload the same game again after you buy it somewhere else. But I guess any reason is any reason, so cheaper price elsewhere must count.
I play around with Daz 3d, and they will refund you the difference if the product goes on sale within 30 days of you buying it. That is one of the best offers I've ever seen. very useful. They refunded me $40 the other day!

Refund if the game goes on sale:

Abuse
Refunds are designed to remove the risk from purchasing titles on Steam—not as a way to get free games. If it appears to us that you are abusing refunds, we may stop offering them to you. We do not consider it abuse to request a refund on a title that was purchased just before a sale and then immediately rebuying that title for the sale price.

Sorry to do this to you bro, but the complete edition is $7.49 at gamesplanet at the moment. Did you buy it from steam?

Yeah, bought from Steam. I checked the link and it's GBP19.99 at the moment (at 20% less than normal price).

Really like the game though. Played about 4 hours already and it's both fun and challenging.

Thanks for pointing that out - I saw the part about refund, but didn't read about the abuse.

I'm happy with the game and will keep it R157.80 was a bargain in my opinion (cheaper than going to the movies and more entertaining)

Eish, the way the Rand is tanking we might be looking at R13 to the dollar by the time the Steam Sale arrives... :(

Was watching the exchange rate these last few days and it certainly looks that way. Thinking I should top up the steam wallet so long...

Rand/Dollar is gonna get worse. At the start the year I heard an analyst that knows his stuff forecasting it hitting R15.
So far I've seen nothing that's gonna prove him wrong.

Man I didn't realise it's slid that far. Sigh- lets just hope it improves over the next couple of days

Not likely to happen. International perception of the country and our economy is quite low with all the recent political debacles, so in all reality it should be closer to, if not over, R13 by next week. I've also heard some analysts predicting the Rand dropping to R20 to the dollar in 4 years from now.

why does it have to be this month.. I don't have any money left after getting my pc [emoji24] i really hope arma 3 goes for dirt cheap..

also.. any chance elite dangerous will make an appearance?
