I would love to do that... if i had to manage staff members i wouldnt have any sympathy i would tell them straight if they dont come right they are fscked lol... :p obviously keeping in mind deaths and all those things...

Only one problem with that. You cant. wish you could. You know how hard it is to fire someone? 3 verbal warning, then 3 written waring, and this is per offence, then there is a disciplinary hearing and all kinda shit. You can't shout at them coz they they scream sexism or racism or some shit. Ive actually had a complaint against me from a woman i was a bit loud with, nothing physical just told her to get a fucking life, and she pulled up this huge petition and got people to sign saying i was sexist.

I dont know how to disciple them, its not like you could take anything way from them. .Sigh.

Thats when i would gief them a ban hammer loool :p and i wouldnt care they could petition all that wanted and all that... and I know u cant just fire someone without giving 3 warnings etc... etc... but i would shout and scream if i had to :rolleyes:

I wish it was that easy. Staff are like children. The more you scream and shout the less they listen. I raise my voice sometimes but shouting hardly ever helps.

Some bosses do act like Assholes but something ive learned since i became one. There is often alot more going on that the staff dont see/realize and that is why the boss it a little edgy. Not saying thats an excuse, just saying try and see things from their perspective every now and again.

I really need to work on my sense of humour...

I agree though, there's usually a lot of angst behind the scenes, but somehow you still manage to get the odd person who becomes a boss and it goes straight to their heads.

A place I worked at a while ago had two partners who were obviously teh bosses. The one was the most awesome guy in the world. The other was a stark contrast. Imagine an American jock in "bulk" and ego who thinks he's the sexiest thing on earth but is really more like a deformed lizard in a human body. He also had this thing about licking his lips after every three words.

He was such an absolute moron who always thought he was right and that he knew best -.-'

Funniest bit was the way he'd puff out his arms (kinda like: <o> ) when he'd work with a PC... As though he had to really concentrate to get that little cursor to move -.-'
