Theoretically that would be the case. From what I understand there would be less routing hops to get to the servers, so latency should drop. By how much? That im not sure, but I cant expect it to be a lot.
 
And here I was hoping for a local server like we have for Dota 2. The latency is one of the major downers for me when playing this game.
 
If this does end up making ping better here in SA it would be awesome. Will just have to wait and see what happens.
