General Upcoming Gaming Videos

It does look great. I enjoy the small team round based combat of CSGO so this looks like a nice iteration on that idea with the destructibility.

I like the fact that it seems it will actually require communication between team members and coordination. So it's great for the people in clans or small groups of friends. Wouldn't wanna play it with randoms though, and voice coms will be a requirement imo. I really enjoy tactical based gameplay.

Agreed, hopefully the guys I play CSGO with will jump on this bandwagon with me :D

And the really interesting part imo is that I can actually see this becoming really competitive (if the mechanics are done properly), and that the game is what I suspect it to be.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this, wouldn't exactly say I'm excited for it?

Yeah the reveal trailer last year looked a lot better. I've been following their development diaries and understand that it is still technically an indie game so I'm trying not to judge it too harshly. I just feel really bad for Ninja Theory, they've really struggled to make a successful game.

Looks awesome to me. It's Ninja Theory so I'll probably buy it on release. Their other games might not have been commercial successes, but I still enjoyed all of them immensely.

The original trailer looked AMAZING! Why do you say they are technically an indie set up? Ninja Theory surely cant be compared to an Indie company?

Heavenly sword came with my PS3, and i must say i had never even heard of it, but it was a fantastic game!

While I've loved all of their games, DmC included, they were all funded by wealthy publishers (Sony/Capcom). Unfortunately even though they are clearly talented devs, none of their games have been wildly successful, so they're self-funding Hellblade and are developing it with an "AAA quality indie game" mentality. So it isn't going to be a retail release and I feel like it's also going to be quite short (the latest trailer is a 'vertical slice' of their vision that was created purely for the trailer and isn't actually from the game, which is still in incredibly early development stages). If you check out their official YouTube channel and watch the development diaries for Hellblade you'll see what I mean. It's technically an indie game as they're doing everything themselves (funding/publishing) but as they've got substantially more experience than most indie devs the quality will still be near-AAA.
