The official Witcher 3 thread

HAHA, dude ESO is an epic game! Absolutely love it!

Problem I have is when I am so fully enthralled in a game and something else comes a long, someone ends up loosing. But yes... I foresee myself giving in and playing this weekend lol.

Agreed. Witcher 3 has made all open world games look shit. I mean the level of detail in this game is mind blowing.

Just a word of warning, the start of the game is very open ended so you'll find yourself wondering "WTF am I supposed to be doing?!" as all the enemies are also kak hardcore compared to you. So it starts off a bit slow, but when it starts opening up... Man, let's just say it truly is epic.

Luckily you've also missed all the performance issues that's been patched up by CDPR and Nvidia, so that's good!

Well that's good to know. I do have a AMD 7970 and I believe the latest beta drivers have optimizations for W3, so will need to download that as well.

I think playing this game in Fullscreen causes crashing.
Was playing fine for 10 minutes (mostly in the inventory screen). Went into option changed it to Fullscreen, went back to the inventory and it froze. :/

Check your VSYNC - I have/had similar issue with Witcher 3 and GTA5, enabled VSYNC and Bob's ya uncle.

So just did a really weird witcher contract

Spoiler: show
the one in oxenfurt where you fight a vampire. So geralt needs to get drunk and then you walk around singing to lure the monster. Anyone notice that the voice used for geralt singing was a totally different voice actor. Man that was weird. Why would they do this?

Looks like I got my first share of problems. Last weekend I updated everything to the latest patches and installed the DLC, everything played 100%. Today after booting into my gaming OS, I noticed a line of text in GOG Galaxy saying "Moving 100% complete". I haven't been able to start my game since. Up to now my game ran flawlessly and now for no reason, it won't work. When I try to run the game, the screen goes black for a second, then returns to the desktop and creates a crash file in the bin64 folder. I suspect GOG had something to do with it, but there were no new updates to install. Only 2 new DLC have been added to the download options, but it hasn't been installed yet.

Busy reinstalling the game now and then I'm blocking the hell out of GOG Galaxy. :(

Just witnessed my first choice consequence.

Spoiler: show
So I helped the tree spirit and set him free. Ok cool went to the crones and he helped the kids escape. Talked to the crones and that was that. Did the bloody barons quests and went and helped him get his wife back. Found the village turned mad killed each other then his wife was a hag. lifted the curse she died. Baron tells me the reward is at his place get there he hung himself. Took me by surprise.

Same thing happened to me so I guess no payment then [emoji14]

Happens quite a lot on PS4 too, seems to get worse the further I get in the game. Trying not to let it bother me too much...

I'm really making some great progression in the game, now that I'm focusing more on the main story line. Loving it to be honest. The depth of the game is just astounding. Going on around 75 hours.
