AMD R3 Series Card Prices

Why are Powercolor cards so cheap compared to the rest?

I don't see any R9 370's. The only one on that list is actually a R7

Not sure, but I know Joker always says not to buy the brand because they use cheaper components, etc.

I really want to see the performance of the Fury and Fury X

Ah yeah that would explain it. Time to shop around for a 280x. Prices should start dropping.

Wootware imports them direct from Taiwan (IIRC, though Esquire apparently imports the brand as well), so there's some currency exchange benefits added in there. PowerColor is managed by the TUL Corporation, which operates in Asia as a more budget brand, but the PCS+ editions are custom boards.

You might as well stick with your GTX 970 for now. There's not much of a benefit moving to the R9 390, as performance is similar and the main benefit you get from it as the better 4K performance and extra VRAM. If you're playing at 1440p or lower resolutions, stick with the 970.

This all feels irrelevant with every PC game basically being branded Nvidia... GameWorks has really been a royal pain in the side of AMD gfx cards...
 
Was looking at these new cards but I'm still happy with what I get out of my R9280x.
I can play The Witcher 3 on high and it blows me away.

I'm not certain how demanding Fallout 4 will be but at this point I'm more likely to spend on a new cpu/mobo/ram upgrade than gpu.

Look at Skyrim's 1440p benchmarks, if you can find recent ones. Fallout 4 is based on the Creation Engine that powered Skyrim, and it looks better, but not worlds better. Skyrim at 1440p should be a good stand-in for figuring out where Fallout 4 will stand at 1080p with max settings.
