Bundles, Bundles everywhere!

Hmmm, it's a tough one. There are so many games out there. Maybe I should just skip Borderlands 1.

The game was a load of fun to play. I invested roughly 10 hours already into my second playthrough and it felt like only minutes passed. Skip it at your own peril. :p

Yes, the story was lacking to a large degree, but at least you always felt you are being driven to something - finding this elusive "Vault" and the treasures it might hold. The game was never about the story, but the journey, gunplay and humour. There are few games worth the $1-2 price bracket you are going to pay for this bundle, believe me!

I have to agree with Farlig on this one. The Borderlands games you don't play really for the story but for the fun and the laughter and having friends who can't drive using the vehicles and making me motion sick!

How about for a person who won't be playing it multiplayer? Would you still recommend it then?

I completed both games solo. I actually enjoyed it more playing on my own - the idea of being a sole vault hunter seeking out the treasures appealed to me more than the chaos and race for loot with friends.

Hmmm okay I think you've sold it to me. I mean it's only $1 so I may as well try it. :) Thanks everyone!

Depends on what you're looking for. Personally the storyline doesn't matter to me, i just want to kill stuff and collect loot. Either way you can pick it up for the price of a pie, so why not.

Oh yes it is still fun, these days its my go to game for some stress relief and giggles. I can't tell you how many hours I put into the first and second game. The first one I can't give you hours since I didnt have it on steam and lost the game but BL2 I have 209 hours on it so far. I do all the side quests per area, find all the vault symbols and love all the chars in the game. Pre sequal I have about 27 hours in and still not finished the first play through.

Just a word of warning, the Humble Borderlands bundle is grouped keys and not split per item

Its a pity I did not know this els I would not have gone 50/50 with a friend to get some of the items I was missing.

Humble's got a good bundle again:

Humble Jumbo Bundle 4

The most basic tier will get you Outland: Special Edition, Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes and Mercenary Kings. Beat the average—currently $4.81—and you'll also get Endless Space: Emperor Edition, The Stanley Parable and The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II.
At the very top end, you can pay $18 or more to get Space Engineers added to the mix.
There's some good stuff there. The Stanley Parable is excellent, and Endless Space is a decent 4X strategy—albeit not quite as good as Amplitude's follow-up, Endless Legend.

I played The Stanley Parable last night, it certainly made me laugh out loud a couple of times. I had played the mod ages ago and it was interesting to see what they had added in the retail version. It's still pretty short but good fun.

Did you realize they took out the ability to jump. I was playing the game again a few days ago, thought something felt off. Then when I quit, I went to the news update bits, saw they had removed the ability to jump...

Ya I noticed that I couldn't jump but figured that it was a design choice. I can't remember if you could jump in the mod, I played it a good while ago.

New Humble Bandai Namco Bundle looks pretty neat.

Pay $1 or more for DeadCore, Platformines, and PAC-MANâ„¢ Championship Edition DX+ All You Can Eat Edition Bundle. Pay more than the average, and you'll also receive ENSLAVEDâ„¢: Odyssey to the Westâ„¢ Premium Edition, Ridge Racerâ„¢ Unbounded Bundle, and Ace Combat Assault Horizon - Enhanced Edition. Pay $10 or more, and you get all of that plus Dark Soulsâ„¢: Prepare To Dieâ„¢ Edition!
