Help with Kids

I'm looking for somthing in JHB / Krugersdorp area were one can take kids to burn energy as a day visitor. Kids are aged 3 (almost 4) and 1 (almost 2) any suggestions?

Anyway, how about the zoo? It's always a good outing for kids. I'm not sure if JHB zoo still has as many animals as it used to, but I remember it being humongous when I was a kid.

I know its not quite a "day" thing, but iv got a mate who opened a place called Smile in Cedar Square, and the center as a whole really has a lot for kids to do, there is a big "snow boarding" slide, and the biggest play area in jhb... 800sqm...

Why not take them ice-skating. I'm not sure where there is a ring in Jhb but I know there is one here in Pta by the grove shopping mall.
 
Monte Casino has a great bird park. They may be a little young for ice skating but there is a rink in the Northgate Mall.

The Lion and Rhino park is near Krugersdorp (kids can pat the lion cubs) and the Lion Park near Kya Sands which is just off the N14.

The kids mentioned are a little young for ice skating and as far as I know Northgate's ice rink closed. There is a new nice big ice rink at Forest Hill City Mall on the N14 Pretoria/Krugersdorp hiway, just off the R55.

Nope the icerink is still very much open
