So, my mother-in-law begged me for my HP Envy 15, so I caved in and sold it to her. Used the sale funds (and some inheritance money) to buy a new gamin.... uhhh... work laptop. Got myself a shiny new silver MSI GS70 Stealth Pro from Evetech this morning. It's a thing of BEAUTY! Haven't spent this much on a tech toy in my whole life, but the specs in this machine guarantee it'll last at least a couple of years.

Edit: Bought a 256GB SSD for the HP as well, so busy cloning the HDD now. She'll be glad for the speed increase. :)

So today was the Paul Bothner Music Drum Day and they had a Fastest Feet competition.

Electric pad connected to a drumometer timer to count your strokes within a minute.

I won with a score of 924. According to Wikipedia, I'm first in the world this year, and 9th overall worldwide.

That's absolutely amazing, congrats.
I'd like to hear what a song played at almost 1000bpm sounds like. I guess it would fall in the speed metal genre...

Thanks man.

And it's actually 231bpm as you're playing 32nd notes.

You can take a listen to Nile if you want to hear 250+bpm
