Square Enix is apparently trying to have the Xbox 360 version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution made compatible with the Xbox One, the publisher revealed. Discussing the possibility of backwards compatibility in a tweet, the publisher said that the development team is working on it, and that they should have some good news soon.

Of course, given that backwards compatibility on the Xbox One is largely automatic, with no additional effort required from the publisher apart from just giving Microsoft the go ahead, one has to wonder exactly what the development team is working on.

Backwards compatibility on Xbox One is set to launch this November; at launch, it will have 100 Xbox 360 games available to play on the Xbox One. More and more publishers are joining the initiative, so eventually, it should be possible for the bulk of the Xbox 360’s library to be playable on the Xbox One.

If Human Revolution is coming to Xbox One via BC, we will let you know, so stay tuned.

that would be and old console playing a new console's game which would be highly impossible, BC is a new console playing an old console's games

I was referring to the wording. i understand the xbox is BACKWARDS compatible...but they're saying it from the game perspective...making it forward compatible with the console :D

Well, keep in mind this is the old Deus Ex, not the one that is still coming out next year. I suppose they might want to bundle the 2 games together , maybe as part of their pre-order bonus campaign going on. So it would make sense then to ensure both can run on the XB1...
