nVidia Fermi looks more powerful than the HD5870

well all this amazing new technology and super increase in terramegaultrafloppy flops means 10FPS more in MW over GT200 cards :/

It's allways like that.

And why some people take out a mortgage :p
lol, well that happens when you shop above your actual limit; i'm quite happy with staying mid range so far after i had my initial zomg i have 2x top range cards in sli vs how long they were relevant at the cost few years back. gues we all enjoy that feeling of having everything top at least once.

True :) I've always had "good enough" - like my GTX260... Would like to go all-out at some point, but only for something I feel is entirely worth it. I need a new card in the next 6 or so months anyway for the SU, so we'll see if these are out by then :p

I like new stuff :D

yeah true that.

I just fail to see where the "huge performance gains of over 80000000000%" really go.

I mean when I had my 8800GT I read reviews on the GTX200 series comming out and they said it was up to 70% more powerfull/faster than the 9800GTX. 9800GTX being way faster than my 8800GT. So I go out and I get one.

I got 3 FPS more in Crysis, I got 8FPS more in CODWAW, I got 10FPS more in GTAIV. Whoop deee dooooo.

The only noticble place you could check the power increase was in benchmarking.

It's allways like that. It's very rarely that you install a new much more powerfull card and the pwerformance differences are mind blowing.

The last graphics upgrade I did that left my jaw on the floor, was my upgrade from the 7800GTX to the 8800GTS640. That was awesome.
