dewd, that cant be serious, I simply cant comprehend people still believing that. 100s of years ago, sure, but common, we have the technology...prolly the same kind of people that think the moon landings are fake and lizard people are planning our takeover in some large underground caverns...

I have a friend who bought into this crap not long ago... He went militant about it... I told him do it for the lols, fine, but taking it seriously like that is not healthy...

This actually draws all the way back to the fundamentals of philosophy and how literature can be used to sway people into a falsehood, instead of them experiencing the real world. What is read and told to understand to be factual information, will perceive as fact and truth. Basically because of map projections on paper, which is a flat surface. They perceive the earth as flat. Of course this is a totally ridiculous notion, and I wonder how fertile ones imagination must be, in order to actually be able to debate the fact that the earth is indeed flat.
