Leaving the Monday after next.

Yes, there is internet access ADSL up to 4Mbps. That's is the plan for what my shop and the home will have - at least a 4Mbps line speed. Not sure how consistent and stable it will be however.

Whew as long as you have internet. It's something that I'd say is a bare necessity.

And I don't think you ever told us and if you did I missed it, but what will your shop be selling? If I may ask, mind you. :)

I agree on the internet front. Without it I will have withdrawal symptoms.

General tuckshop goods, everyday necessities, but will offer more than just that and internet facilities. Will be branching out and doing other things as well, repairing of PC, building them.

Like if IT and a general store owner got together and started something new. something the town needs which I can offer.
My dad is really the brains behind this. He has all these plans in mind, he knows exactly what he's planning and effectively I will be a ride along of my own business until I get back into the swing of things.

It's basically to offer the customers things they cannot readily get in the town - readily.
Aim is to be a multi-functioning business catering to many needs, so as to attract many kinds of clients.

Depending on its success, I can then branch out to neighbouring towns which will have a higher clientele base; more city-like areas.

Start Small, Dream Big!

... compressed into a small shop, I guess. Though, I'm pretty sure a China Mall will have a larger variety. :D

Also - it's something my dad had envisioned for me for years. He probably sees me a 'people person' and it helps that I have knowledge of the business I'm going in, since we had started a shop 10 years ago.

Back then it was a family business, this it's going to be mine. It also helps to contribute to the income of the household.

My stepmom is a teacher, my dad is a farmer, my sister is a law student and I, a shop owner.
