My first card was also a riva TNT 2 :p some of us are a bit more versed in pc gaming i see :p

And if you call me old i'll come burn your shite down

My first card that I bought myself was the Riva TNT. Man that card was amazing.

Amen to that, that card on my Pentium I was an absolute winner. The TNT2 on my P3 was even better.

Aah fond memories I have of all my nVidia cards... think the most versatile one still (and its still in use in my media center PC) is the 8800GT

Rofl atleast i don't look or feel my age and most people who meet me still guess me in my 20's so i'm happy :p

In that scenerio: it's like when a girl/woman/lady asks you "Do I look fat in these jeans?", of course you're going to say something nice. :p

Rofl don't go making the ladies antsy now 8sh. and luckily i don't ask how old they think i am they ask me and then i say guess.

I don't suppose "You've got a fat ass or pear-shaped booty" would work, would it? :P

I would respond to your question: "Pfft, son, you don't look a day over... 40". :D

That is a trick question...always respond with "Would you like a glass of wine?"

Having said that...you're only as old as the one you feel.

First Card I bought with my own money was the NVIDIA GTX 750 ti 2gb OC Edition, got it at rAge for a nice cheap price, i see it goes for about R2 000, I got mine for about R1 600

All my cards that came before that I got for "free" from Christmas gifts or from it being past down the family to me.

My first few cards were interestingly enough:

Voodoo 2
Riva TNT 2
GeForce 2

After that it's all a blur of numbers and letters.

I miss the days of simple naming conventions.

Me too, remember wanting a Voodoo 2, then the TNT was released for cheaper, included 2D and 3D...and blew me away. Still remember seeing Quake 2 in OpenGL for the first time... Remember I had my desktop at a very low color setting, had to raise it higher to get GL to work.

Also, I still have my TNT 1 :D

That's one reason i don't get any radeon cards, the are all just random numbers to me, at least with NVIDIA i am able to understand that 970 is better than 750

Lol.

"Sapphire AMD Radeon R9X 245X2 Duo-Blast-From-The-Future XD Kingpin FTW OMGWTF 500G OC SuperSupercloacked Edition 9000"

5 percent better than its nearest competitor!

:D

Traffic was a mess on the N1 this evening. Two lanes closed as there was some dead person lying in the middle lane.

Had that once on a single lane road on the way home. A 20 minute journey took nearly 2 hours. Looked like some dude tried to run across the road but his fate was the same as insects during a long trip.

But traffic seems bad in Cape Town anyway? When I was there last month, getting onto the highway from Century City took ages. And we had to get to the airport.

My first card was a Voodoo Banshee, which lasted quite some time until I got a Geforce MX something-or-other. After that I dropped off gaming for a long time and had an XBOX360 and PS3 after that.

After going through 3 360's, decided to get back into PC gaming. Had a Lenovo Y500A for a year after which The Joker built my current MiniMonster and I got a PS4 (which I haven't touched now for a year). Got an MSI GS70 about a month ago as well...

I work in Tyger Valley, so I don't really experience traffic normally.

Same for me :P But then again I am 10 mins from home so I avoid all traffic at all times, Cape town traffic is bad in sections, not everywhere. Our traffic doesnt last as long as yours does crusader :D

Good morning all so today might be my last day in my old job :p. And Jan shouldn't there be an award for first in lat out every month for the guy whose first to greet in the morning and the last one to post before 12 at midnight :p
