During the Steam holiday sales game prices go down so much that you can buy quite a few with the allotted amount.
Or go for one big name game with some smaller games.

I think that is just one of the sales... There are 3 end-of-year sales if I remember correctly. XMas, Thanksgiving and another one I think. I remember by the time the Christmas sale arrived, I had already bought everything I needed to.
