I received this email this morning.

Dear Steam User,

Steam will soon be priced in South African Rand!

If your Steam wallet has any money in it on November 10th, 2015, your U.S. Dollar balance will be converted to Rand, at a conversion rate dictated by market value at the time of conversion.

To view your account balance, simply log into your Steam client or the Steam website at http://www.steampowered.com. Once you have logged in, you will see your balance in the upper-right corner next to your account name.

Agreed, on one hand we want more activity, on the other we slap anyone trying to encourage activity.

It was the 1st one I saw. Also don't think its a big deal, it's something the mods can sort out anyway. Merge the posts. I think it would be better to ask a mod to merge rather than make someone who isn't active on the forum feel even less welcome to post.

Chill dude, not everyone reads every thread as it's posted. Might as well kill all activity on the forum to prevent double posting, no new threads or post means no double posting.
 
I hate reactions like this to threads. Really now, it's an honest mistake. On the one hand we're complaining for no activity but on the other hand criticising anyone trying to add. Really now. Such disappoint.

Hey, man. Cool it. Roomys has a point: getting aggressive with people for posting stuff just makes them not want to post.

That said, thanks for reporting the duplicates. I think there's an argument to be had for two threads: the first for the rumours from earlier this year, and the second for the confirmation.

I don't really want to merge this conversation into one of the others, so I may just copy Roomys' post over and lock it. Will see what works best.
